I code in dreamweaver simply because I like a lot of the features it offers such as the built in FTP. It's just simple to click one button to save and upload to your web server.

I think most people don't like it because of it's WYSIWYG features. It generates a lot of bloated code but as long as you write the code yourself in the code view, you shouldn't have any problems.
