I would go for something in budget, modern, and has what you want. I'd say go for the 8600 series due to if you want DirectX 10. I play Flight Simulator which uses DirectX 10, and that game is awesome with it.

I have the same card except it's interigated into my card so I really have two video cards. I've very recently purchased an NVIDA Geforce 8600 GT from TigerDirect for only $89*. It's awesome, less memory usage for me. The graphics alone toke away over 150MB RAM from my 1GB, but it went to 1GB right after installing my new card.
