So basically you want it so that when you click the next button, it automatically brings the next piece of news into the box?
Well, you really don't require AJAX for that. All you'd have to do is put each of the news blurbs into a javascript array, which could be rotated through by a function.
Also, this would be better served in the Javascript section =)
