Advice -

1) You need to do more with the content areas, the square boxes with low opacity just doesn't look appealing, the way you have done it.

2) Move the copyright to the left side, and the Valid xHTML & CSS to the right.

3) More padding and a larger font is needed for the content on the right.

Feedback -

1) Overall I wouldn't say it's "breathtaking" at all.

2) I will take a good guess and say you used a photo for the background (Sky) and manipulated it. How will this background repeat, or if you intended on not repeating it, you need to blend it around the edges so it doesn't simply cut off.

3) I see what you tried to do with the "portfolio" part, with the lines like going into the clouds. However, it could have been achieved alot easier and made alot better.

4) On the portfolio text itself, you could have gotten a much better effect without using blending options. I myself avoid blending options on everything, it's good practice to not use it, and your not limited to what you can do. So again, this could be made better.

5) A better use of font would probably make it better as well.

Other than that, good try.
