Unfortunately it was a server crash, - It appears the monitoring procedures to automatically reboot the server when http requests are failing had not be configured properly - hence I got a phone call early this morning saying it was down and had to come all the way into work to reboot!

Should be fine now, and I had told our IT department to sort out the esculation procedures, so it doesn't happen again!!
