Sorry, just saw this thread and thought I would toss in my .02 worth of advice. And given my current 9-5 and as a past Store Manager for Radfio Shack I think I am pretty qualified. First of all in my current position I am a Technical Recruiter working for a 3rd party staffing company. What that means is that every day of the week I am trolling through resumes from the likes of Monster, Hot Jobs, Dice, Careerbuilder and then meeting and interviewing upwards of 15 "geeks" a week.

My biggest advice to anyone is go to the interview dressed professionally. Be informed about the company you are interviewing with (do your research!). Ask questions during the interview. It drives me crazy when I ask a candidate if they have any questions and they give me a deer in headlights gaze and say "nope, no questions." Don't give one word answers, explain yourself and be outgoing.

The one thing that got me my initial job at Radio Shack.....I asked for it. DON'T be afraid to ask for the job!

Hope this helps.
