i've used "Ajax" in something recently.
i didn't really want to but it was the feature the customer wanted :/

"Ajax" has been around for a while...it's actually the XMLHTTP Request Object within JavaScript that handles this.

by the way, it was Microsoft that introduced this concept years ago...they seem to be very interested in XML technologies.


well anyway, there are some disadvantages in using Ajax...one very big thing is the inability to maintain bookmarks.
i think Ajax is great but ONLY when used in moderation ONLY where necessary. some people overdo it by using Ajax for navigation...there goes accessibility and usability :/
