Hmm, Maybe I was wrong to generalize, but in the 19" segment, Dell definitely rules the roost. My monitor has a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and movies/games etc look much better than the standard 19" model in Samsung/LG.

Maybe it's not true for the bigger screens.
