No need to be rude.
PHP is good, but not particularly wonderful for high performance algorithms.
.NET is very nice but a pain to learn, especially the web features that deal with postbacks.
Java is used by larger companies; I've found few small ones care for it or about it.
Everything else is not as common, so I don't bother with them. For now.
Really, the bottom line is that -- if you can -- you should pick the language and environment that best fits the outcome you're trying to achieve. I can pretty much make any of the above do what I want, it's just that sometimes one is easier than another.
